One of the highly anticipated releases of the new Nissan cars for 2012, the all-new Micra has finally been launched. Several modifications to both shape and specifications have led to one of the most impressive mini-hatch cars on the market today.
Nissan Micra specs
The new Micra comes in either 1.2 and 1.5 litre petrol versions and a 1.5 diesel engine, all with 5-speed manual gearboxes. With fuel consumption from a staggeringly impressive 4.7l/100km, the Micra is fast becoming one of the market leaders for fuel efficiency in this segment.
Micra 2011 styling
From its funky and modern exterior to the comfortable and hi-tech interior, with cup holders, cloth upholstery, power-steering and Radio/CD/MP3 player in Acenta and Tekna models. Technology includes an on-board computer for Acenta and Tekna models with odd trip, average speed, fuel cost, fuel remainder, driving time, service interval and cruising range as well as an air conditioner for Visia+, Acenta and Tekna models.
Safety in the new Micra
Safety has always been a major point of focus for the Nissan engineers. With driver and passenger airbags on the base model up to additional side and curtain airbags in the Tekna version, your safety is ensured. ABS including electronic brake distribution (EBD) as well as a brake assist system comes standard on all models along with front passenger seatbelt pre-tensioners and 3x3 point rear seatbelts.
